Vehicle Description The 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible is often regarded by enthusiasts as one of the best of the breed, thanks to its overall styling by Bob Gregorie and Edsel Ford and the specialized accessories of the Deluxe package.
This particular 1940 Ford is finished in maroon with a black convertible top piped in red to match the red leather interior.
This all-steel 1940 Ford Deluxe is powered by the 24-stud 221/85 HP Flathead V-8 engine with a downdraft carburetor and dual exhausts.
This would mark the first year for the column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission, which was supposed to create passenger space by moving the shifter from the floor to the column.
Optioned with many accessories.
This Ford is fitted with chrome bumpers, Bumper guards and the grille guard, Dual windshield wipers, Dual side-view mirrors, Draft deflectors, Deluxe steering wheel, Clock, Woodgrain trim and more.
Rolling on wide whitewall Firestone tires with painted steel wheels adorned with chrome hubcaps and trim rings, Under-dash auxiliary gauges provide extra information on engine vitals that maybe the original almond-colored gauges nestled in tan surrounds don't provide.
