Vehicle Description 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe.
239 Ci V8 Engine - 3 Speed Manual transmission.
This pretty special 46 Ford has a cool history.

Owned by a Charlotte NC School teacher named Mrs Andrews for the first 32 years of its life.

Mrs Andrews sold her beloved Ford to a Mr J Tartlton also from Charlotte NC in 1978.
In early 1981 Mr Tarlton sold this 46 Ford to a Mr Benny Bootle of Greenville SC.
Mr Bootle was the owner of Bootle Equipment sales and a very influential Ford restoration authority.
Mr Bootle was also a past president of the AACA.
He also wrote the book on restoring 1940 Fords.
Mr Bootle restored this 46 Super Deluxe to award winning specifications shortly after he purchased the car in 1981.
He went on to show off his accomplishment around the country at AACA and other Grand national events.
This particular 46 Ford has won; A Dearborn Award in 1981.
A Medallion Award in 1981 & 1982.
First place at Hornets nest region AACA in 1998.
Presidents Award also in 1998.
At the 2000 Early Ford V8 show the car received another Dearborn Medallion Award.
The highest Award achievable.
We have gained the history of this car from documents we have & Feature articles on the net.
At the time this car was last judged it was deemed the best 46 Ford in the world.

The car has always been pampered since restored in 1981.
The only real noticeable sign of age is some checking / shrinkage on the deck lid excited by the fluorescent lights.
We did not dare to scuff & buff it but i'm sure someone with talent can improve the condition greatly.
Other than that the Maroon paint is still Stunning overall.
