The Employment Facilitator position supports people who have a developmental disability on the job. Employment Facilitators provide transportation and overall support and direction to people as they perform their job at employers in the local community. Employment Facilitators are required to be trained in Medication Administration and SOLVE, a passive restraint system. Paid training is provided.
1. Facilitate the choosing, getting, and keeping of community employment or other meaningful occupation for each individual.
2. Facilitate activities that develop of valued community roles and personal relationships
3. Implement all procedures that ensure individual health, safety, and well being.
4. Implement all prescribed medical protocols.
5. Ensure the physical safety and cleanliness of the program
6. Develop and implement all rehabilitation, recovery, and other service plans.
7. Assist people to access, and/or provide, all needed transportation.
8. Review and complete all required documentation.
9. Communicate all pertinent information to all stakeholders.
10. Participate in supervision, team and other related meetings.
11. Provide flexible program coverage, transportation and support, based on need.
12. Acquire and maintain all certifications.
13. Perform other related tasks as assigned.
B.A. preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent and valid driver's license issued a minimum of 3 years ago with a clean driver history required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
